Management Consultation regarding Staff Employment Actions
Our Employee Relations staff advises Management on navigating difficult employee situations or concerns. We counsel with Management regarding the interpretation and consistent application of policy related to corrective and disciplinary actions, reductions in force, separations, appeals, and to facilitate the respective processes.
We process Staff Employee Appeals, and provide counsel concerning the University of Utah's policies and procedures that govern the appeals process. These procedures are available to benefits-eligible employees who have completed their probationary period. This policy applies only to appeals of formal adverse actions. Policy does not allow for review of alleged illegal discrimination or sexual harassment. Complete a Staff Appeal Form to initiate the formal appeal process.
