Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Electrical Shop Supervisor, performs specialized technical work in the operation and maintenance of GIS (Geographic Information System); CAD drafting, GIS data entry, graphic editing, geographic data analysis, production of a wide variety of maps and schematic reports and other GIS related responsibilities as assigned. This is a technical position requiring knowledge of computer system operations, database systems, computer-aided drafting, electrical work, and design.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience), and a combined total of three years of experience and or professional training in one or more of the following areas: computer-aided design and drafting, GIS surveying, computer data entry, electrical maintenance, or electrical systems. Working knowledge of personal computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Excel, Access, Power Point, Word, AutoCAD and ArcInfo.
