Job Summary
Performs entry level engineering work, typically under the guidance of more senior engineers.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.
Specific areas of expertise may be preferred by departments.
This position is not responsible for providing patient care.

Essential Functions
Problem Solving
Incumbent has the authority to purchase equipment and supplies within a small budget and may train and assign work to technicians. The incumbent has the authority to determine the most appropriate manufacturing procedures, designs and materials selection for prototype components. Works independently in performing tasks of limited complexity.

Nearly Continuously: Office environment.
