Job Summary
This position supervises and coordinates KUED production facilities, equipment, operations and support personnel.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); plus five years experience in broadcasting to include three years supervisory experience required. Knowledge of all aspects of television production including studio, field and live remote production editing and an understanding of digital processes and applications appropriate to television and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.
Demonstrated ability in computer use, including facilities scheduling and spreadsheet software programs, a working knowledge of the operation of video production equipment, proficiency in managing a diverse production facility, managing budgets and direct supervision of employees preferred.
This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.

Essential Functions
Problem Solving
The incumbent has the authority to hire, fire, train and evaluate staff and to also hire contract staff. They have the ability to consult with producers, production supervisors and crew to determine the best methods for KUED productions and to accommodate changes in the production schedule.
Comments
The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development and the ability to assess data regarding the patient's status and provide care as described in the department's policies and procedures manual.
