Job Summary

Designs and executes graphic artwork by interpreting and transforming concepts and ideas into professional visual material for a variety of mediums, including (but not limited to): educational programs, web content, television broadcasts, distribution productions and publications or publicity and promotional activities.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in a related area; two years professional graphics experience, or equivalency; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or Illustration or a related field preferred.

Essential Functions

  1. Designs and produces graphics, specific promotional and print-oriented materials, scenery, educational classroom materials, television production illustrations and miscellaneous art-related materials.
  2. Visualizes and executes most effective conceptual ideas within budgetary constraints and guidelines.
  3. Interprets and transforms raw concepts and ideas developed by other personnel into descriptive visual materials in varying formats.
  4. Works with clients to ascertain needs and explain possible options available.
  5. Orders graphic art materials and supplies when needed.
  6. Assists with the construction, installation and maintenance of art-related exhibits and displays.
