Job Summary
Performs a wide variety of duties related to the scheduling, checking, and assigning of University vehicles for service repairs, and other required maintenance.
Qualifications
Two years computer related experience in a shop environment; a knowledge of related software for service writing, spreadsheets, and budgeting, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); one year previous supervisory experience; demonstrated oral and written communications skills, analytical, and troubleshooting skills; and demonstrated customer services skills required.

Essential Functions
Problem Solving
This position is given the authority to prioritize and make work assignments. The incumbent is also given the authority to act for the supervisor in his/her absence.
Some challenges the incumbent may encounter include changing schedules to accommodate emergency repairs to the fleet as they arise; scheduling more than 450 vehicles for the semiannual safety and emission inspections; and locating needed repair parts for older vehicles.
The incumbent supervises 7 full-time non-exempt employees and 5-6 part-time hourly employees.
