Job Summary
Performs a variety of duties throughout the campus requiring advanced skill and training in cement finishing, brick masonry, plastering and rock work by applying recognized procedures and techniques.
Qualifications
Successful completion of an approved apprenticeship program in masonry or four years professional masonry experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
Dependent upon department of assignment, a valid Utah driver’s license may be required.
This position is not responsible for providing care to patients.

Essential Functions
Problem Solving
Incumbents operate with very little direct supervision. They may function as a lead worker or crew leader on specific assignments by supervising and instructing personnel of a lower or similar classification. Independent judgment is used in choosing materials, tools and procedures in finishing assigned tasks.
Comments
The incumbent must be aware of safety at all times due to the possibility of serious injury from power equipment or on repair sites. The incumbent should also possess hand tools for use in this position. This position is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to respond to emergencies as needed.
