Job Summary
Supervises and maintains staffing. Provides equipment and supplies for an assigned custodial area. Insures that buildings are maintained at the highest level of cleanliness in the most efficient manner.
Qualifications
This position requires two years as a custodial crew leader or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). The incumbent must have demonstrated oral and written communications skills to deal with a variety of people. The position requires a knowledge of custodial work standards in order to establish, oversee and evaluate work assignments.

This position has complete authority for hiring, firing, disciplining and making salary recommendations for employees in his/her area. The incumbent is given authority to expend funds assigned to him/her.
Problems encountered in this position include trying to maintain 100% staffing in an area that typically experiences high turnover; and trying to motivate employees to do a thorough job.
Comments
Each supervisor is responsible for the maintenance of approximately 1,000,000 square feet of building space.
