Essential Functions
Problem Solving
Major problems encountered in this position are the development of a comprehensive job scope and appropriate program for the various client requests. This can be difficult because of existing structures to be removed or worked around prior to construction, or maintaining a construction budget and schedule while fulfilling the client's construction needs. The construction project also has to meet State and Federal Regulations relating to safety requirements. By meeting these requirements, the construction project may go over budget and completion schedules. The Coordinator often times has to coordinate thirty projects at once. This can pose difficulty for the Coordinator because of the time constraints and the individual needs of each project all coming together at the same time.
Generally, the coordinator may be responsible for approximately ten to forty projects annually depending on the size and complexity of the project. This position may provide work direction to a various number of drafting technicians.
