Job Summary
This position organizes, coordinates, and directs the educational activities of the Cytopathology Laboratory to include the Cytotechnology Training Program, Continuing Medical Education activities and the Pathology Resident Core Training in Cytopathology. Coordinates and directs the technical aspects of the Cytopathology Laboratory.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a biological science, a related field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); successful completion of a CAHAE accredited cytotechnology program; ASCP certification as a Cytotechnologist; and three years progressively more responsibility as a ASCP certified Cytotechnologist required. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
