Qualifications
One year of research experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required; demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
An understanding of research protocols and procedures preferred.
This position is not responsible for providing patient care.

Essential Functions
Problem Solving
The incumbent works under general supervision in the performance of most tasks and may determine the prioritization of routine work assignments and assist in establishing standardized questions for interviews.
When compiling information from various sources, particularly interviews, the incumbent must evaluate what is critical to the goals of the study and have the ability to elicit cooperation from participants. The incumbent must be aware of the various stages during the research project so he/she can give accurate information to outside sources as well as assist in keeping the project on schedule. The employee must be able to multi-task with varied assignments and be aware of resources needed to accomplish publishing/printing objectives.
