Job Summary
Serves as Telecommunications' technical advisor in providing to the University community information regarding the most economical and efficient phone system for their area.
Qualifications
Two years experience in telecommunications or a related field, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); demonstrated written and oral communications skills; the ability to work with all levels of personnel; a commitment to service excellence; and have demonstrated customer service skills also required. Experience working with computer based ordering and accounting systems is preferred.

Essential Functions
Problem Solving
The incumbent has the authority to recommend the best phone system at the lowest cost possible to meet the needs of the department. Complex problems or unique situations that develop are generally coordinated with the Telecommunications Consultant and the Administrator of Telecommunications Business Affairs.
The major problem encountered in this position is determining what type of telephone system should be installed that best meets the needs and budget of the department.
