Job Summary

Supervises the day-to-day operations of a computerized events ticketing office and manages all supplementary money matters. Oversees the delivery of customer service, trains and supervises ticketing office staff.

Qualifications

Five years experience in box office ticket sales or equivalency required. An in-depth knowledge of accounting procedures, familiarity with ticketing software programs and computer hardware needs and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.

Supervisory experience preferred.

This position is not responsible for providing patient care.

Essential Functions

  1. Hires, trains, schedules and supervises ticketing office staff, which may consist of full-time and part-time employees and volunteers.
  2. Accounts for and records all box office revenue and other potential sources of revenue. Balances and deposits revenue daily.
  3. Serves as liaison with ticketing software provider and coordinates the purchase of related hardware and software.
  4. Manages the ticketing database that is used to record ticket sales, donations and/or subscriber records.
  5. Coordinates the interface between departmental websites and ticketing websites.
  6. Conducts seasonal and individual performance box office audits. Cooperates and participates in external auditing process.
  7. Prepares and manages the preparation of reports on ticket sales, income, attendance and season ticket patrons.
  8. Orders and arranges for the printing of tickets for each show or production.
  9. May assist with ticket sales during peak workload times.
  10. May coordinate with outside agencies regarding ticket sales for non-University events.

Comments

Some evening and weekend work may be required depending on the area of assignment.
