Job Summary
Manages and oversees all functions pertaining to the mechanical, electrical, maintenance and custodial activities of the Bookstore facility, including assignments related to building renovation, fixture building and relocation, equipment and furniture installation, running cabling and all maintenance requiring physical modification, or construction.
Qualifications
Associate degree in facilities maintenance, business management, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience), three years of experience in a facilities maintenance capacity, including one year of management experience that includes budget preparation, and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required.
Six months retail environment experience pertaining to facilities maintenance preferred.

Essential Functions
Problem Solving
The Bookstore Facilities Maintenance Supervisor has authority to spend store funds for repair and maintenance of various needs, including mechanical and electrical breakdowns, acquisition of equipment, occupancy repairs and occasional overtime hours for employees. He/she also has the authority to hire/fire, supervise, train and give performance appraisals to staff. The incumbent works with an annual and payroll budget, and supervises 3 hourly part-time employees. She/he coordinates the bid process, acquisition and installation of University R & R funds.
Decisions pertaining to additional funds for construction projects, are an example of matters referred to the supervisor.
