Job Summary

Develops and delivers services and programs related to curriculum and course offerings, academic policies, registration, examinations and grading, graduation and records management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Educational Administration, Public Administration or a related area plus three years related experience or equivalency required. Demonstrated working knowledge of automated data systems, organizational, human relations and effective communication skills required.

This position is not responsible for providing patient care.

Essential Functions

  1. Coordinates course scheduling by assessing the frequency and balance of course offerings faculty teaching availability.
  2. Facilitates student registration process by establishing registration deadlines, publishing course information, establishing waiting lists and administering the add/drop process.
  3. Coordinates the development of curriculum for introductory law courses.
  4. Oversees all aspects of the examination process. Develops examination schedules and administers exams, making special examination arrangements as needed.
  5. Monitors student academic standing, certifies completion of graduation requirements and coordinates bar certifications.
  6. Supervises the processing and recording of all student grades.
  7. Oversees compilation and dissemination of all registration-related data.
  8. Establishes and administers standards for the maintenance, handling and disposition of all student records.
  9. Develops positive working relationships with students, staff, faculty, University departments and members of the legal community who serve as adjunct faculty.

Problem Solving

Representative challenges faced by the incumbent include ensuring courses are sequenced appropriately, addressing scheduling conflicts between faculty and students and resolving problems that arise in regards to examinations, such as an illness prior to or during an examination.
