Job Summary
Chief Health Policy Officer (CHPO)
The Chief Health Policy Officer serves as a member of the SVP/HS Leadership Cabinet. Key stakeholders include the Senior Vice President for Health Sciences, General Counsel and Vice President and Vice President for Government Affairs, as well as other leaders in OGC, Government Affairs, and Health Sciences. The CHPO provides leadership in navigating state health policies and policy processes, with a particular focus on the legislative process, in collaboration and coordination with the Vice President for Government Affairs. This role serves as the point person for those in Health Sciences with legislative issues and ideas, and for communication back to constituents about ongoing legislative matters. The work primarily focuses on state health policy, but from time to time, may assist with federal health policy issues as well.
