Job Summary
The Director of Campus Compliance and Accountability (DCCA) develops, implements, and maintains a focused compliance program for the University of Utah. Specifically, the DCCA is responsible for guiding institutional efforts to comply with established University policy and key governmental requirements including, without limitation, Title IX, the Campus Sex Crime Prevention Act, and the Clery Act, but excluding compliance matters pertaining to occupation health, health care, research, and athletics. The DCCA is expected to work collaboratively with other University compliance professionals to advance institutional compliance and performance. The DCCA oversees the performance of relevant compliance risk assessments designed to identify relevant areas of risk and to ensure thoughtful allocation of University resources. The DCCA is empowered to conduct both compliance and performance audits and reviews to assess not only legal compliance but to also identify best practices and opportunities for institutional improvement. The DCCA reports to the General Counsel of the University.

Essential Functions
Problem Solving
The DCCA is responsible for providing leadership to personnel supporting compliance efforts, outlining strategic planning, and setting institutional compliance goals. This individual must be competent at interfacing with all levels of employees throughout the University of Utah and be able to interact with external entities involved in review and enforcement of government requirements. The DCCA must have strong leadership, analytical, time management, and communication skills.
