Job Summary
Directs development activities for a small university department/college/area, including developing appeals, cultivating donors and prospective donors, soliciting gifts, and ensuring all gifts are acknowledged. Works closely with Dean/Department Chair/Leadership to develop and implement fundraising priorities, strategy, programs and financial objectives for assigned school/college/department, including (but not limited to) planned giving, major gifts, community outreach, memberships, volunteer programs, corporations, foundations and neighborhood partnerships. Develops goals and strategies for all fundraising campaigns. Acts as a catalyst between departments, faculty, staff, students, and external entities to ensure continuity and quality of service. Develops long-term donor relationships and solicits gifts in the 5 to 7-figure range. May supervise one or more employees.
