Job Summary

Uses expert relationship building skills to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual, corporate and foundation prospects in the 7 to 8-figure range. Most experienced and successful fundraiser. Collaborates with senior administrators, deans, and directors to identify initiatives for fund development and plan campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent experience (One year of education is equivalent to two years of experience).
  • Six years of related experience.

Essential Functions

  • Identifies principal gift prospects, develops plans, and solicits very large gifts (7 to 8-figure) for an area
  • Prepares or oversees preparation of proposals by conducting research, coordinating with administrators and colleges, meeting with potential donors, and writing proposals and budgets for submission.
  • Collaborates with senior administrators to identify initiatives for fund development and plan campaigns.
  • Plans strategies and goals to increase fund-raising effectiveness with high profile individual prospects and donors.
  • Plans and executes cultivation and acknowledgment events.
  • Analyzes market research and performance data to aid in fundraising.
  • Develops long-term relationships with higher level actual and potential donors and solicits gifts in the 6 to 8-figure range.
  • Develops gift agreements for larger or more complex gifts, pledges, and endowments.
  • Ensures appropriate recognition and stewardship of donors.
  • Maintains prospect management system for donors, including active plans.
  • Ensures gifts are deposited correctly and reconciled with accounting system.
