Job Summary

Supports fundraising activities, donor relations, and management of programs and special projects/events within a college/department/area. Assists in organizing and implementing fundraising appeals, special development projects, and donor acknowledgements for a university area; conducts relevant donor research and reconciles gifts within the accounting system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (One year of education is equivalent to two years of experience).

Essential Functions

  • Assists in organizing and implementing fund-raising appeals, special development projects, and donor acknowledgments for a university area.
  • Plans, develops and manages development programs and events
  • Researches sources, collaborates with staff members and coordinates volunteers.
  • Assists with developing and tracking plans for donor solicitations and stewardship
  • Identifies, maintains, and extracts information on donors and prospective donors from database.
  • Develops and distributes brochures and literature supporting development and alumni activities and programs via mail and social media.
  • Reconciles gifts with accounting system
  • May act as the point of contact for individuals or companies who will donate to the University or a department
  • May assist with membership recruitment, renewal, and benefit fulfillment
