Qualifications

  • Master's Degree + four years of related experience or Bachelor’s degree + eight years of related experience or 16 years of related experience.

Essential Functions

  • Proficient with all the duties and responsibilities of a Research Development Associate IV
  • Spearhead grand challenges, moonshots, and similar forms of academic endeavor in the service of real-world problem-solving
  • Advise institutional leadership on issues related to research, including providing support for strategic planning, particularly for significant business development opportunities
  • Institutional leader in RD, mastery of knowledge of the work/field is of the highest level; broadly trains others in the field
  • May contribute as a Pl or Co-I in proposals
  • Significant engagement with federal programs, may be called as an expert for Congressional hearings; Sought as an advisor for core portfolio areas to inform national policy
  • Significant contacts with major corporate and industry partners in their field
  • Is recognized as an expert in own area within the organization.

Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking.

Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking.
