Job Summary

  • With basic oversight completes various routine post-award administration of grant &/or contract activities.

Qualifications

  • GED or HS Diploma
  • Four years’ related experience or a related Associate's Degree.

This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated vaccination requirements, or be approved for an exemption, prior to the first day of work. Essential Functions

  • With basic oversight from a supervisor, completes basic award administration for activities including award set-up, modification, and maintenance for the department’s most common sponsors
  • Creates ejournals as part of award maintenance activities
  • Provides basic support for formal financial reports to external sponsors, PI, internal/external audits.
  • Provides support for Award review/tracking. Completes project-related A/P and A/R activities for basic contracts. Basic understanding of budget categories and can input/assist in those reporting activities.
  • Provides basic support for activity tracking administrative tasks.
  • Familiar with University and department research administration pre-award systems, processes, and policies required for proposal submission
  • Familiar with common sponsor systems, processes, and policies required for proposal submission
  • Work with colleagues and manager to complete and track assignments
  • Effectively interface with internal and external professionals
  • Issues are routine and involve little evaluation and interpretation. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experiences, following established policies and procedures with analysis of the issue, requiring moderate innovation and creativity.
  • Increasing specialized knowledge in area of assignment.
