Job Summary

With basic oversight completes various routine pre-award administration of grant &/or contract activities.

Qualifications

  • GED or HS Diploma
  • Four years’ related experience or a related Associate's Degree.

Essential Functions

  • With basic oversight from a supervisor, completes basic proposal preparation and develops submission skills for the department’s most common sponsors
  • Familiar with University and department research administration pre-award systems, processes, and policies required for proposal submission
  • Familiar with common sponsor systems, processes, and policies required for proposal submission
  • Work with colleagues and manager to complete and track assignments
  • Effectively interface with internal and external professionals
  • Issues are routine and involve little evaluation and interpretation. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experiences, following established policies and procedures with analysis of the issue, requiring moderate innovation and creativity.
  • Increasing specialized knowledge in area of assignment.

Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking.

Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking.
