Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Vice President for Health Sciences and to the University of Utah Vice President for Institutional Advancement, the University of Utah Health Chief Philanthropy Officer is responsible for managing, overseeing and/or coordinating all aspects of U of U Health advancement activities, to include all fundraising efforts for U of U Health. The Chief Philanthropy Officer oversees operations, strategy, budget, and workforce development and planning within the U of U Health Office of Advancement.
Qualifications
Requires Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of professional fundraising experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).
Demonstrated skills in leadership, management, financial planning, quality improvement, and service delivery; and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills.
Preferences
Given the complex nature of the University of Utah Health, a proven record of fundraising effectiveness in an academic medical setting will be weighted heavily. Graduate degree(s) or comparable experience is preferred
