Job Title: Dispatcher Lead, U Safety

Job Summary

Under general supervision; receives and dispatches routine and emergency calls for police, medical and other Public Safety Agencies as designated.

*Meets / exceeds all qualifications of a Dispatcher II*

Qualifications

  • 18 years old.
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Type 40 WPM.
  • Legal to work in the United States.
  • No disqualifying criminal history.
  • Must meet the requirements of Dispatcher II.
  • Must have worked as a 911 Dispatcher or a Dispatcher II with 5 years professional experience.
  • “Train the Trainer” certified: Experience with coordinate the training program, assisting all trainers and trainees with their needs, too include monitoring Agency 360 with their progress.
  • Must be current on all EMD, CPR, BCI, POST Certifications, ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800.
  • Effectively supervise, plan and coordinate the work of assigned dispatch personnel.

This position / classification is responsible to the Public Safety Operations Manager and performs all tasks under a general direction.

Performs advanced level emergency communications and dispatch duties, supervises public safety activities of designated shifts to ensure proper protocols are followed.  Coordinate schedules to ensure shifts are covered appropriately and ensure other resources are maintained. Coordinate and assist with maintaining applicable training, operations, reference and policy manuals.  And, performs other duties as assigned.
