This position assists Principal Investigators in their Department/College by performing administrative and technical functions associated with grants, contracts, and other agreements from external funding sources. The grants administrator also serves as a liaison to the Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP), Institutional Review Board (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), the Office of the Vice President and Research, and other campus entities as necessary.
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field plus two years experience working with federal or private funding agencies on grants, contracts or other agreements, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Eight years of work experience in administration, accounting and/or general office supervision can be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree. The ability to work independently and effectively under pressure. Strong communication and organizational skills are necessary.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated vaccination requirements, or be approved for an exemption, prior to the first day of work. Limited exemptions may be made for documented medical contraindications or religious beliefs that object to vaccinations.
