Job Summary
Conducts advanced statistical analyses of qualitative and quantitative data and interprets results; participates in study design; writes research proposals, grants and manuscripts; and, works to broaden research within the associated program or department.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); plus four years related research experience, and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.
A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated vaccination requirements, or be approved for an exemption, prior to the first day of work. We protect our patients, coworkers and community by requiring all patient-sensitive employees to be immunized according to CDC standards and hospital policy. Limited exemptions may be made for documented medical contraindications or religious beliefs that object to vaccinations.

Essential Functions
Problem Solving
The incumbent is responsible to coordinate research while working with all levels and variety of staff internally and externally to the University. They must employ expertise to determine the most favorable research formats and methods of analysis necessary to attain research objectives. This individual is responsible for all decisions related to a specific research project including the development of survey methodologies, and may have signatory authority over all aspects of the grant or contract.

The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development and the ability to assess data regarding the patient's status and provide care as described in the department's policies and procedures manual.
