Job Summary
A scientific/medical animator is a professional digital artist with specialized training and advanced education in science, medicine, art, design, visual technology, media techniques, and in theories related to communication and learning. Collaborating with scientists, physicians, and other content specialists, medical illustrators serve as visual translators of complex technical information to support education, medical and life science research, patient care, patient education, and public relations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Design, Biology, or a related area, plus one year of related experience, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); demonstrated effective communication skills; the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines; and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required.
