Job Summary

Under general supervision, operates video cameras and related equipment in the production of videos to support educational, research, grant, public relations, athletic events, or student services.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency required. Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.

Audio-visual technical aptitude, knowledge of media-production, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. are preferred.

This position is not responsible for providing patient care.

Essential Functions

  1. Records and monitors video from one or multiple cameras.
  2. Troubleshoots video and audio recording devices.
  3. Communicates effectively with faculty, staff, and/or others involved in facilitating video projects.
  4. Organizes and maintains videos in a computer database.
  5. Maintains equipment and performs minor repairss
  6. Operates video conferencing over interactive video conferencing (IVC) systems.

Comments

This position requires the ability to work long or unusual hours to accommodate a variety of schedules.   Travel may also be required. 

Work Environment and Level of Frequency that may be required

Often: Office environment, outdoor environment.

Seldom: Hazards (includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, or exposure to chemicals).

Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required

Nearly Continuously: Standing, walking, hearing, listening, talking.

Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), sitting.

Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead, lifting - up to 50 pounds.
