Job Title: Bundled Payment Program Manage

Job Summary

This position acts as the primary point of accountability for delivering large scale, complex, and cross-organizational projects and/or program strategy deliverables for the bundled payment initiatives, in concert with our shared savings and population health efforts. Coordinates activities of internal and external team members to design and develop innovative approaches to provide a successful balance of internal cost savings, appropriate post-acute utilization, and improved quality outcomes across the chosen care episodes for Bundled Payment Care Initiative (BPCI). Responsible for communication and coordination of data distribution related to the care episodes by provider to continuously drive improvements. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Current license to practice as a Physician’s Assistant in the State of Utah and five years of clinical contracting experience is required.

Master’s degree in a related area is preferred. Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department.

Essential Functions

  1. Manages key components of the implementation and management of episode bundles.
  2. Coordinates requirements, schedules implementation and post implementation plans.
  3. Makes both tactical and strategic decisions for the program that considers multidimensional impacts beyond near term deliverable of specific projects.
  4. Incorporates analytical and problem resolution skills to effectively participate in the development, modification and implementation of complex payment methodologies for various provider types.
  5. Develops provider strategy to support contracting efforts.
  6. Serves as a point person for issues related to complex methodology issues with provider and system configuration issues.
  7. Provides project leadership to facilitate the implementation of the program.
  8. Acts as main point of contact between Payer Relations and providers.
