Job Title: Student Program Manager

Job Summary

This role is reserved for the honors college. Develops and administers academic programs by designing co-curricular programming for Learning Communities / Living Learning Communities, negotiating contracts and program funding, solving related problems, evaluating and redesigning programs. Collaborates with departments and faculty to develop programming that promotes degree completion.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalency required. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required.

Previous experience in an advising, counseling or teaching environment is preferred.

This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.

Problem Solving

Incumbents are expected to possess extensive knowledge about academic programs, policies and procedures and student support services. The ability to be sensitive to the needs of diverse student populations, such as non-traditional and minority students and students with disabilities is a necessity. Incumbents must also be able to interpret student needs and determine when referral to other University resources is appropriate.
