Job Summary

Responsible for recruiting prospective students. Leads college/university information sessions and provides guidance throughout the admissions process.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years’ related experience, or equivalency.

Essential Functions

  1. Manage an assigned recruitment territory, which includes: developing/maintaining relationships with and providing service to high school personnel; attending college fairs and visit high schools; completing requisite paperwork prior to and after the completion of a recruitment trip; and making necessary travel arrangements.
  2. Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of the recruitment plan for assigned area of responsibility in outreach recruitment or alumni/ parent recruitment volunteers for the Office of Admissions to support the enrollment goals of the institution.
  3. Assume responsibility for the management and oversight of a territory budget.
  4. Participate in office recruitment activities and special events.
  5. Conduct group presentations and campus tours.
  6. Counsels students and parents regarding the admissions process.
  7. Assist prospective students in gathering the necessary information they need to make an informed decision about the University of Utah and navigating the various processes and offices to enroll at the University of Utah.
  8. Provide follow-up correspondence and individual counseling to prospective students via in-person meetings, e-mail, telephone, and U.S. mail.
  9. Review applicant files.

Assist with other duties assigned.

Comments

Duties involve travel to in-state and out-of-state locations.

Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking.
