Job Title: Video/Telecom Engineer

Job Summary

Plan, design, and implement internal telecommunication networks/systems, including voice, data, and/or video communication systems.

Qualifications

Requires five years related experience or equivalency, including a strong background in audio, video, and data networks.

Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.

Essential Functions

1. Plan, design, and implement internal telecommunication networks and systems, including voice, data, and/or video communication systems.

2. Maintain highest levels of telecommunication security and protection from disaster.

3. Analyze the needs of the organization and translate requirements into detailed technical specifications.

4. Conduct cost and traffic analysis to determine the best use of resources.

5. Collaborate with various internal groups and external vendors to ensure all installations meet specifications, ensuring the resolution of problems as they arise.

Comments

Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Work Environment and Level of Frequency typically required

Nearly Continuously: Office environment.

Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required

Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking.

Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking. 

Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead.
