Job Summary
Provides expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of technology solutions and systems. Analyzes requirements to ensure the systems meets performance needs. Recommends technology purchases that will support/enhance current systems. Familiar with technology concepts, including databases, applications, networks, servers, software engineering, etc. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be a top level contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. May lead and direct the work of others. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) and at least 3 - 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
