Job Title: Data Center Ops Specialist

Job Summary

Performs operational programs for the mechanical, electrical, fire suppression and “white space” infrastructure systems 24 x 7 according to safety, code and regulatory clauses. Performs Data Center operational activities and service requests in a timely and consistent manner. Assists in the development and improvement of data center methods, procedures and other initiatives including ITIL, DRP and industry best practices through documented methods. Develops a thorough knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical, fire suppression and white space systems. Consults with management and customers regarding data center activities in business performance terms on topics including capacity planning, SLA, efficiency, billing and operational metric reporting. Develops an understanding of data center design principles, industry best practice, emerging technologies and data center roadmap futures.

Qualifications

Requires an associate degree in a related area and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
