Job Summary
Acts as a consultant and advisor to the University Community regarding compliance with University policy and state and federal law relevant to prohibited discrimination, equal opportunity and access, disability accommodations, and affirmative action.
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate (JD) or Masters of Legal Studies (MLS) degree required. Experience in Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action, mediation, a relevant area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) preferred. A broad and substantive understanding of investigations, legal analysis and writing, and litigation processes in the areas of equal opportunity, discrimination law, disability law, and administrative employment processes. Excellent presentation skills and demonstrated effective human relations and communication skills are also required.
