Job Summary

Assist the Director of Compliance in ensuring that the University is compliant with all University, PAC 12 Conference and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) legislation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Knowledge of NCAA legislation and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required.

Master’s degree in a related field preferred.

Essential Functions

1. Ensures the University is in full compliance with NCAA and PAC 12 Conference legislation.
2. Monitors the recruiting process and the initial eligibility of athletes being recruited.
3. Monitors athletes’ eligibility and satisfactory progress towards their degree.
4. Assists with the development of a comprehensive compliance program including rules, education for student-athletes, coaches and administrators.
5. Develops and revises the compliance manual and student-athlete handbook as necessary.
6. Assists with the preparation of squad lists and other institutional, conference and NCAA forms.

Problem Solving

Incumbents will assist coaches, athletic department employees and the general public with NCAA and PAC 12 Conference legislation based upon interpretation of the NCAA and PAC 12 Conference manuals.
