Job Summary

Coordinates with AOCE staff and University academic department staff to facilitate the development, offering and delivery of for-credit courses.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or equivalency; one year related experience; and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required.

Thorough understanding of the university’s academic departments, degree major/minor and general education requirements, and AOCE off-site facilities is preferred.

Essential Functions

  1. Coordinates with academic department and colleges to determine what for-credit courses to offer and locates an instructor.
  2. Researches and compiles course material. Based on research, identifies and makes recommendation to academic departments regarding which courses to offer, and obtains final departmental sign-off on the course.
  3. Assists the Credit Strategic Planning Committee in creating an effective course/instructor evaluation process.  Once designed and implemented, carries out the instructor and course evaluation process.
  4. Assists the Credit Strategic Planning Committee in creating and implementing an Instructor Orientation and Training process.  Once designed and implemented, ensures that AOCE instructors receive the appropriate training and support needed.
  5. Coordinates with AOCE’s Site Management Team, the DESC Team and the U’s Scheduling Office regarding course data entry. Ensures that the course is assigned an appropriate classroom and all course information is accurately entered into PeopleSoft.
  6. Oversees the payment process for each instructor. Ensures accurate processing of payment.
  7. Researches, develops and implements the Three Year Plan.  Assist in reviewing and revising the plan as necessary.
  8. Serves on various committees internal and external to the university.
