Job Summary
Assists campus surveyors gather field data by operating standard surveying equipment. Creates and maintains engineering data files.
Qualifications
One year of full-time map drawing and surveying/drafting experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); the ability to perform general mathematical calculations; the ability to use surveying equipment including levels, theodolites and EDM; and demonstrated effective communication and human relations skills required.
Experience working with computers and CAD or other drafting software preferred.

This position requires the ability to work outdoors. The incumbent may be exposed to heat, cold or other adverse weather conditions in the course of completing the essential functions of the position. He/she may be required to work in tight spaces or at heights more than six feet about the ground in order to gather data.
