Job Summary
Responsible for accomplishing all duties that pertain to grounds maintenance, gardening and the operation of equipment necessary to maintain the campus.
Qualifications
Successful completion of an approved apprenticeship program as a Master Gardener or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Equivalency is a minimum of 3.5 years progressively more responsible grounds experience working on five acres or more. Knowledge of the common names of trees, shrubs, monocots, and dicots; a valid Utah State Non-Commercial Pesticide Applicator License and a Drivers License and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills are also required.

This position has the authority to prioritize work assignments within the scope of the department's workload and the guidelines of the University and Grounds Department policies and procedures.
Comments
This position requires irregular hours and will be scheduled to work on-call hours during the winter months including weekends and holidays. The individual will be required to work overtime when needed.
