Job Summary

Provides instruction on the artistic and technical elements of dance to young students. Conducts outreach activities to community organizations regarding dance and the University dance company.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in dance; training in the Tanner method of dance instruction; four years of professional performance experience in a company, including choreography, or equivalency required. Demonstrated communication skills; the ability to interact with/and teach children; and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required.

Essential Functions

Teaches dance classes to students ranging in age from two to eighteen years old.
Assists the Director with artistic and administrative duties.
Presents lecture demonstrations and school in-service.
Tours with the dance company throughout Utah and the United States.
