Provides musical accompaniment for department classes, auditions and rehearsals.

Qualifications

Proficiency in piano or other musical instrument accompaniment and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required.

Essential Functions

1. Accompany departmental classes, auditions and rehearsals.
2. Continuously research and build appropriate repertoire.
3. May serve as an assistant accompanist or musician for departmental rehearsals, performances, guest instructors and choreographers.
4. May perform supervisory duties.

Problem Solving

This position may be responsible for supervising other accompanists, which would include scheduling work assignments and ensuring department policies and procedures are followed.
