Job Summary
Programs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs the pneumatic and electronic controls and the Building Automation systems which monitor and operate the Heating, Ventilation and Air conditioning.
Qualifications
An Associates degree in Electronics or Computer Technology plus five years experience in HVAC Control Systems or Building Automation Systems or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Network experience in ARC net and Ethernet and experience using Graphic Programming Language and demonstrated human relations and effective communications skills are also required.
Dependent upon department of assignment, a valid Utah driver’s license may be required.
This position is not responsible for providing patient care.

Essential Functions
Problem Solving
This position is empowered to make decisions pertaining to the successful operation, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of the campus automation systems. This position participates in the development of new strategies, testing of new technologies and the implementation of upgrades. Budgetary concerns, special problems and periodic system reviews are the normal interaction with the supervisor. Participates as a team member in routine operation and maintenance duties.
Comments
This position is on call 24/7 and is responsible for both employees and facilities day and night.
