Job Summary

Provides assistance and information to incoming patients, visitors and staff to facilitate their entrance to or exit from the hospital.

Qualifications

Two years related experience such as customer service, parking enforcement or as a parking attendant required. Demonstrated human relations skills and effective communication skills also required. This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients. Essential Functions

  1. Provides individual assistance (unloading/loading, transport to clinics, etc.) to those with special needs and exceptional care to all hospital visitors/patients.
  2. Maintains a supply of wheelchairs at the hospital entrance.
  3. Directs and assists patients and visitor as they enter and exit the hospital parking areas, hospital lobby and their vehicles.
  4. Supports and assists UUHC & SOM departments daily and facilitates special events. 
  5. Works as a team in keeping staging areas clear and maintaining smooth traffic flow in and out of the parking areas/terraces.
  6. Assists in emergency situations by directing emergency vehicles and maintaining traffic control as needed.
  7. Coordinates with Parking Services and Security to patrol and enforce patient/visitor parking areas.
  8. Addresses lighting and safety issues located in the parking areas and assists in keeping areas free of debris.
