Job Summary
This position is responsible for coordinating department/program schedules and may perform other related duties pertaining to staffing, surgery, equipment purchasing, and expenditure.
Qualifications
This position requires three years of experience working in a medical office, clinic, with an emphasis in scheduling; a related area or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); and demonstrated effective communication, human relations, and computer skills.
Some areas of assignment require completion of a medical terminology course, certification related to specific area, and/or additional years of related experience.

Problem Solving
This position has the authority to coordinate, revise and maintain the department/program schedules and is given authority to perform their daily work routines within the scope of the unit’s standards of performance.
Comments
The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development and the ability to assess data regarding the patient’s status and provide care as described in the department’s policies and procedures manual.
