Job Summary
Operates and monitors the HVAC and other mechanical systems on Campus using the Building Automation System. Makes necessary adjustments and repairs as needed to maintain proper function.
Qualifications
Four years of experience in HVAC operation, repair and maintenance and demonstrated human relations and effective communications skills or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. The ability to cooperate with other shop craftsman and staff is also required.
Knowledge of the Building Automation Systems is preferred.
Dependent upon department of assignment, a valid Utah driver’s license may be required.
This position is not responsible for providing patient care.

Problem Solving
Incumbents are authorized to respond to service calls, assess needs or damage and make decisions regarding the course of action to be taken. They can make repairs or call on the required trades as needed. They are also authorized to advise the appropriate administration of the situation.
Comments
This position is on call 24/7 and is responsible for both employees and facilities day and night.
