Job Summary
Provides core clinical services within assigned treatment program. Provides leadership to clinical team and on-site management support in collaboration with the program manager.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Master's Degree in Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Recreational Therapy, or related area, or equivalency; professional licensure in related area; four years of progressively more responsible experience with two years in a clinical setting in a hospital and two years in a leadership capacity; and Basic Life Support Health Care Provider card or obtain one within one month of hire required. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
The preferred candidate will have experience in case management; discharge planning; group, family, and one-on-one interaction; knowledge of community resources and mental health laws.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development and the ability to assess data regarding the patient's status and provide care as described in the department's policies and procedures manual.
