Job Summary
Paints interiors and exteriors of buildings and refinishes furniture, equipment and fixtures by using journeyman skills.
Qualifications
Successful completion of an approved apprenticeship program in painting or four years professional painting experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Demonstrated human relation and effective communications skills are also required.
This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.

The journeyman license is obtained through the successful passing of a comprehensive examination after the completion of a 3 year 6,000+ hour accredited apprenticeship program.
The incumbent must be familiar with safety practices, and procedures due to the exposure to certain hazardous conditions and situations such as explosive and flammable paints, thinners, and work on tall ladders or high scaffolding.
