University Retirement Plans

The University has two types of retirement plans, University-funded and employee-funded.

University-funded
Fully paid by the University and employees in benefit-eligible positions are automatically enrolled when they become eligible to participate.

    • 401(a) Defined Contribution Retirement Plan
Employee-funded
Voluntary retirement plans all University employees may participate in, regardless of their benefit-eligibility status.

  • Transfer Assets To Another University Investment Provider
  • Enrolling and Making Changes
  • Beneficiary Designations
  • Change Your Beneficiaries
  • To Change Your Investment Provider in the 401(a) Plan, complete a 401(a) Plan Investment Provider Change Form and submit it to the University Benefits Department.
  • To Enroll in the 403(b) and/or 457(b) Plan, complete a Salary Reduction Agreement and submit it to the University Benefits Department.
  • To Stop or Change the Amount You are Contributing to the 403(b) and/or 457(b) Plan, complete a new Salary Reduction Agreement and submit it to the University Benefits Department.
  • To Change Your Investment Provider in the 403(b) and/or 457(b) Plan, complete a new Salary Reduction Agreement and submit it to the University Benefits Department.
