WellU Passport

WellU is excited to announce enhancements to your employee wellness benefits for the upcoming year! WellU has partnered with the University Health and Wellness Center to offer a variety of programs tailored for employees and their families. Through these programs, WellU will provide access to wellness services, utilizing our community resources, for individuals in all stages of health.

Eligible employees, spouses and dependents age 18 years or older enrolled in the University’s Employee Health Care Plan are invited to access the University Health and Wellness Center’s services. Your WellU passport has a total of 6 sessions which can be used for any of the eligible services listed below and can be shared with your eligible spouse or dependents. Additional wellness sessions may be purchased at a discounted employee rate by eligible participants.

Using Your Passport Tracker

You can track your sessions using the Passport Tracker. It will provide you with detailed information on what sessions have been used, the remaining balance, who has used the sessions, and when they were used. This website will allow you to track your health and wellness progress. Follow the instructions below to login to your Passport Tracker.

  1. Go to http://www.hr.utah.edu/wellu/passport/tracker
  2. Login using the employee’s Campus Information System (CIS) uNID and password
  3. View your health and wellness sessions


Eligible Services

soccerExercise Prescription
WellU fitness and exercise services are for individuals of nearly any age or fitness level. Our staff will provide you with an individualized exercise program tailored to meet your goals and your health and fitness needs. Programs may include weight loss and maintenance, functional fitness, strength training, aerobic and anaerobic conditioning, sports specific training and others.

A fitness assessment is a series of measurements that help determine physical fitness. There are several standard tests in a fitness assessment. Our staff will evaluate you on the following:

  • Cardiovascular Fitness
  • Flexibility
  • Strength
  • Body Composition
  • Blood Pressure Screening


personal health coachingPersonal Health Coach Consult
Health coaches work with individuals who wish to adopt lifestyle changes that will help them reach their short- and long-term goals for satisfying and healthy lives.

Health Coaching may include:

  • Addressing individuals broad range of health needs
  • Assisting individuals to navigate through biometric results and develop a plan to address needs for change
  • In partnership with each individual, developing an action plan for health goals/goal setting and tracking, help clarify their health goals, and implement and sustain behaviors, lifestyles, and attitudes that are conducive to optimal health
  • Assisting individuals in identifying barriers to successful health outcomes
  • Initiating referrals to other University resources
  • Assisting individuals in reducing the negative impact made on their lives by chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, and diabetes

Biometrics Explained
Interpreting the results of your biometric screening can often be confusing. When you select this service one of our health professionals will sit down with you to review your numbers and help you understand what these numbers mean to you and your health.


orangesNutrition Consult
The nutrition consultations offered through the WellU program help individuals improve their overall health by improving their diet. Whether you need simple nutrition guidance or ongoing support to overcome a specific concern, our staff of experienced dietitians can help you reach your nutrition goals. In addition to general and preventive nutrition consultations we have several specialty areas to help you, including family/child health and nutrition, sports nutrition, hypertension control, cholesterol lowering, weight loss and maintenance, cardiovascular nutrition, bone health, diabetes management, and others.


peppersWeight Management/Weight Loss
For some, weight management or weight loss is the primary goal in moving forward with their health. Individuals who select this service will work with the dietitian to develop a strategy to safely meet their weight loss goals.

This session would include

  • In-depth analysis of 3-day diet record
  • Individualized diet plan for successful weight loss
  • Goal setting relative to weight loss

Individuals may want to consider using this service in conjunction with the exercise prescription as well as follow-up visits for weigh-ins and body composition. This service is intended to be used in conjunction with an exercise prescription.

Following up with our staff of health professionals can be helpful in achieving success at maintaining healthy lifestyle changes. Achieving and maintaining goals is much more likely with follow-up as this allows you to meet with the staff to discuss barriers or to celebrate victories in reaching your health goals.
